Don't want to spill out the numbers yet but I will say at only 10 deg timing and 12lbs boost I was really impressed with the torque. Almost like diesel torque.

Went old school and got some dirt track tires. Couldn't pass up the deal. The 15x10s fit too. Can barely get my hand between frame and tire. No rub. Next set I'll get some drag radials and go taller. With these I didn't even have to roll the lip. I will when I go taller. These are Hoosier G60s. 25.5 high, 8.5 wide and 10.75 wide. That's the widest I can fit.
Can't wait to see how they hook. Old days we used to get these and they'd hook great on street just wouldn't last. The price I paid new, I could buy 5-6 of these tires for 1 drag radial!! Sloppy Style

Ruh Roh someone got tires

Also car has air shocks on it that I didn't even know about. Gonna try to drop the rear some to see how she launches when weather clears up.

Well I took the car out for some late night runs. Heated my dirt track Hoosiers up, smoked a procharged vette and on my second race of the night I heated the tires and just did a foot rake launch at only 1-2lbs boost (don't have my launch control set yet) and BAN!! Car barely moved. No noise from underneath. Looked and driveshaft was still in tact and spinning. Blew weak 10 bolt. I forgot to weld up spider gears. Axle gears are fine. Gears on pin were laying in pieces on bottom of housing.
Cleaned it out and ordered a mini spool til I can find a disc brake 8.8. Also counted gears and can't believe how good this thing launches with 2:41 gears!!!! Yes 2:41 ms I can't imagine her with 3:08s or 3:23s. Here's The carnage pics.

Spider gears sitting in bottom of housing.

Pieces of gear

What's left. Mini spill going in as soon as it gets here. $40 plus $12 for hardened pin.

Rolled off road into gravel. Just showing how well the dirt track Hoosiers work!!

Gt45 88mm. Got Minispool in and she's running really well. Ran another turbo mustang and put bus lengths on him last night. I found out this damn 10 bolt has a 2.41 gear!! Thank goodness the TH475 has a lower first gear.
Gonna try to find an 8.8 out of an explorer and weld my spring buckets onto it. Another good thing is explorer 8.& is 2.5in wider so it'll push my tires 1.25in further out away from frame. As of now I can't get my hand between frame and tire it's so tight. Either that or fork out $950 for a bolt in 9in. Made a few YouTube videos. Unfortunately none of them are of the races. Down here we're under water everywhere (SE Louisiana). Luckily the floods are 20 miles away from me. Been rescuing people for 3 days with flatboat.

My 15 yr old who helped me build car took his first ride. Got "boost butterflies." This was with old tires. I was peddling most of pull

Here's a pic of the Hoosier G60 dirt track tires. I picked em up brand new for $40/each. They work great once heated up. Figure Drag Radials are at least $200/each so $400 for one set or 5 sets of dirt track tires for same price. Check tag because some are stickier than others. They stick good enough to blow the gears in my weak 7.5 on my second pass with em.

Well the hardened cross shaft wasn't that hard. Took out carrier and possibly chipped pinion too. Not even a week with Minispool. Sad part was I was only at 3500 when I hit second. Was tuning lower rpm AFRs.

Well I just bit the bullet and ordered a bolt in 9inch, 35 spline axles, spool, disc brakes, 3.40 gears. Wasnt really planning on spending this much yet but it's time. Now I can do some high boost/power launches and see how she does.
Soon as it gets in I'll post up pics. Once the 9in is in I'll go hit the track and see what she'll do.

Got the Quick Performance 9in in car. Bolted right in. 35 spline, full spool, 3.40 gears. She's pulling her *** off now. Beats the 2.41s that were in it. Went with 28x10.5s as well bc now it's just shredding tires.
Cranked boost up to 15lbs and switched to corn. HUGE difference from 93 to e85. Hopefully will have some track videos to post soon. Also closed gap from .28 to .20 and that made a big difference too. Apparently I was getting some spark blowout.

That's what it was doing in second. Also added a reverse pattern manual VB to it as well
