Default Ls swap from 4x4 into 96 ta

You guys have given me the best advice and I do appreciate it .As it turns out I found a chevy truck that has been rolled ,The engine fires up it goes into gear even reverse can't drive it, has a little over 80000 big cam aftermaket heads and intake ,it has a auto trans and it's a 4x4. I have no problem changing the tail shaft and housing but the speed sensors I'm worried about .Because looking under the truck I see 2 sensors on the tail shaft housing and one on transfer case. The tail shaft housing i need to use has only one hole for speed sensor .And yes tork arm mount.I have had a speed sensor problem in the past in my TA and it would not shift out of first gear. So will the 4x4 trans work in a Trans am.

Personally, I'd keep the truck's frame rails and go a little further with it...

What engine does the car have in it today? I take it that you can't reuse the existing transmission?

Default Thats crazy Is that a blazer frame under that firebird.

I guess if your really into 4x4s that is pretty cool but myself I like a well handling sports car.

Then the transmission you are looking at is definitely not for you...

I would expect you'd be better off with a car transmission with regard to your swap effort and the end performance of the unit.
