In the process of building a new motor for my sons car. I kinda blew his up a few months ago. Stuck fuel injector blew #5 through the block and took out a brand new BTR cam with it.
So, now comes a new LS2 block sporting a few extra cubes and a new BTR Stg4 cam.

He's gone in the Air Force for a while so he's funding most of the build. Moser 12 bolt will be here on Weds.
But here's a few motor pics.

I even dealt with a brand new ARP head bolt breaking during torquing of the heads. So I pulled them all back out and got a new set, c/o BTR

Thanks for posting pics. Those look like the same seats I was considering. Mind sending me the link. They look great in the car. Also what wheel are you running.

Default Safari SS

Hey guys DO NOT GET PISSED AT ME FOR THIS,
I know I am new on the forum, but I have been on various forums for many years (100% motorcycle or Audi related)...

Anyways, I bought a 2002 Camaro SS 6MT after a family member dropped in a new crate LS1. Since the motor was replaced, the car had been sitting in storage for 5 years and only started to move the fluids every so often. Needless to say its mildly depressing. So i did what any red blooded American would and saved up some money to bring it back from the dead.

The bad:
Tires- ****
Brakes- ****
Suspension- ****
Paint- ****
Glass- ****
Driveshaft- ****
Dashboard- ****
The good:
Body, Motor, Interior Usability- high potential.

I am working on a budget and I travel a lot so it has to be done one weekend and one project at a time. I also wanted the car to look different and after hours shopping online I think I am the first to do something like this.

I have built a Rally/Safari/Zombie Camaro SS.

I replaced all the broken and worn out items, used the hardtop to create a rack system, and serviced the entire car. Both Yakima and Hella were wonderful companies to work with. Line-X might be doing the entire body in their satin finish shortly, and I have plans to put in better seats and a sound system. I dropped the dual exhaust to put in a hitch carrier, but other than that everything else is cosmetic and quickly removed.

New items:
Aluminium Driveshaft, OEM Dashboard, Tires, Slotted Brakes, KYB Suspension Components, Engine Servicing, Yakima Q-towers/Crossbars/Clips/Keys, Safari Basket, Axe, Hella Black Magics, Hella 700FF front lights, Rear Hitch carrier, and a few others I'm sure I forgot.

Let me know what you think, and Ill try to add more pics when I add the front lights and other items.

Weather has been nice here so I gave it a full detailing, oil change & stabil in the tank and went for the last drive of the season yesterday. Put it away late in the afternoon and woke up this morning to the sound of snow plows and the dreaded salt!!

It's winter, so I've been sweating in the garage making my fuel system. Okay, it's been wonderful at around 78 degrees.

Not my car, I just work on it for 'Dude Across the Street' because he doesn't have:
a) the patience
b) the knowledge
to do it himself.

New VFN Ultra-Z Style bolt-on ram-air fiberglass hood
New power steering rack and tie rods
New 145 amp alternator swap

Took it to the shop to get the front end realigned after the steering rack swap and they had to shift the K member!

Next? Who knows. He's said everything from subframe connectors to diff drain & fill to upper & lower control arms to fenders and bumper covers to recovering the seats to the Big 3 wire swaps to drilled and slotted rotors to … and the list goes on.
