Welp, I've been super busy with work and my wedding coming up in under 2 weeks, but I managed to get the engine bay painted over the past weekend, and now the fun of putting everything back together has begun:
I had to sneak the turbo and some of the newly coated hot pipes in there to see how it flowed. I completely forgot to get the exhaust housing coated with everything else, so I'll probably end up sending that out to get done. I'm also leaning towards sending the compressor housing out to get polished.
I'm excited to work on this thing again. Once I'm able to get some of the harness (which has been and is still in the process of being quite heavily modified), as well as the "firewall items" back in there, I can clean up the mess I have in the interior so I can finish the sound deadening job (Second Skin), and put the interior back together.
The engine will be completed shortly after I return from my honeymoon, and then I'll just need to decide on a converter so I can put the engine/trans back in. Getting close. I look forward to picking away at this over winter and finally having it done in Spring..

The short answer is 46,000 square feet. The long answer is that it's my family's business, we sell and service all types of specialties vehicles - school and commercial buses, vans, ambulances and fire trucks, other law enforcement vehicles, dump trucks, plow trucks, utility bodies, food trucks, etc. I personally sell ambulances and run the emergency vehicle department, but spent about 7-8 years in the shop doing various jobs - cleaning bitch and parts getter,, body shop for several years, welding and fab for several years, etc.
We have a 63' downdraft paint booth that splits about 30/70 so we can do 2 jobs at once if needed. There's a 2000 square foot converted "shop" at the back of main building that used to be offices where I was fortunate to be able to have some space to put a lift I bought, my tools and some work space.

Thanks guys. The car is silver, but I see what you mean, the lighting's playing tricks. I believe the car has around 34k on it. I'm not really sure what I want to do ET wise. It's been a while since I've been down the track, so I'll definitely need to regain a comfort level first. I've been to 9.0 at 153 in the last car in 2010.. I don't have a desire to use the full potential of this setup as I type.. so let's say I'd like to run a 8.5, and see what happens from there.

Very nice. Top notch builld for sure. That blue on your old car was sharp. Was that a factory color? Recall what is was?

Thank you! Ya, I miss the old blue car, the color was sharp. It's electron blue metallic, which was a corvette color in '03-'04. I saw the old car was up for sale a couple weeks ago.. it sold in one hour for $35k, which was actually a very good deal for what it was. I would've been a lot better off if I just bought that back

I've scooped up a lot of parts lately. This one might help a little:
Got a converter from PTC, Viking coilovers from UMI, fuel stuff, and a whole bunch of other odds and ends. Looking forward to making progress next weekend.
