Stock internal ls1 back to track for testing

Looks like it might get into valve float at around 6450. Until i drew a line on the graph, i didn't notice that rpm leveled off in 1st gear before you let off the throttle. It pulled clean to just below that in the other gears...

I tried revving higher with the gto t56 before, it looked like it lost some et and a little mph diring tge one time I remember.. It wasn't a good enough test because i didn't run it a bunch of times to see. That's something I want to try again tho.

Can you go into more detail on this? I've often wondered if anyone has tried a back to back on this or atleast a similar car. What were the et/mph differences?

First one is the 11.29 run I had years ago with the gto t56 and the second one is the run 11.42 run this past weekend, I blew them up better for visual but could not get the numbers enlarged and more of the reference lines for the numbers

You can see the big difference in rpm drop from gear to gear of the gto gearing vs the fbody gearing. I couldn't really say if there was much of a difference in et and mph as I didn't test it back to back. One thing that can be clearly seen is the difference in bog on the launch and the higher I launched rpm wise the better the et was with the gto trans.
The fbody trans when I ran in true street this year at one race I launched at 5000 rpm I ran a 12.09, I needed a better et to average out so I launched off the stock rev limiter which was 6800 and ran a 11.89, needed to run slower so I launched at 5000 again, car ran a 12.096 on that run. As you can see how big of a difference it makes in how high I launched with the fbody t56 also.

Good info thanks for sharing.
Did you use the gto trans with the clutch tamer?
If not then that may be the hot ticket. It would allow enough slip to possibly bridge the line between the 2 trans on the shifts.

One of the big reasons I don't like the gto trans gearing is because of the rpm drop to 2nd is not enough. I'm shifting almost right after I get into 2nd. Then going into 3rd and 4th is a big drop in rpm.
It would be nice to try it out and see what it would do both transmissions.

If you calculate what it should drop down to, it is on down in the 4xxx's but I think I'm spinning the tires a lot right after I let back out of the clutch.
