Default Anyone Use this Mobil Trans Fluid for your T56?

Hey guys. I am having trouble finding Dex 3 for my t56. I found this fluid, I think it is non synthetic but I am not sure. Does anyone use it and does it work well for you?

Have not used that Mobil one but any place that sells tranny fluid will have "DEX/MERC" mineral based fluid in generic or name brand. I just got mine at NAPA. For use in transmissions requiring a non synthetic DEX 3

That Mobil brand does say compatible for use in GM DEX 3H ...3H was formulated in 2003 with a updated formula of additives and friction modifiers. IDK if there is any issue using it

the DEX/MERC stuff is compatible for DEX3

Don't know where your located and don't know anything about that Mobil 1 but I found DEX 3 at my local walmart but I have also seen it at every auto parts store around me. Thought it was pretty common.

i do see dex 3 no name stuff. It might seem dumb but I just feel a lot better using something with a name brand on it.

Your cars shift the same with the no nme dex 3 in it?

I have NAPA brand DEX 3. Has worked fine for 11 years

Does NAPA make it, no. It is from a large manufacturer. Castrol, Valvoline also offer it as DEX/MERC but IDK if there is any difference in additive part in those brands.

Given factory service didn't even call out a service interval other than saying it does not need changing....DEX 3 will last a loooong time in the M6. If you feel the need to change at 25 or 50k mi intervals, nothing wrong with that.

IIRC Tremac stopped using the paper blocker rings in 99 and up T56 so earlier years you want to use mineral based DEX 3 compliant fluids

That Mobil stuff indicates it is Dexron (III)/Mercon compatible. That's good. Cheap Dex/Merc is just fine.
