eBay buys, Oil Cooler adapter, GlowShift gauges & more
I have to say eBay has a lot of 'good' parts for LSx.
I have previously bought a eBay throttle body and that worked out well so I bought a few more items.
My latest eBay buys,
LSx oil cooler adapter. price about $25.
Overall feels light but machined well, the an10 fittings feel a bit cheap but installed with no issues or any indication that they were gonna strip out. Came with two plugs for a oil sensors or oil feed/return. Used one of the ports as you'll see next.
Next purchase was a 3 gauge set from GlowShift. about $150
I really don't have the budget to fork out for top of the line Auto Meter gauges and I didn't see or hear much negatives from GlowShift so I went ahead and bough Oil Pressure, Coolant Temp, & a Tach. all the same 2 1/16", 52mm size, I need that size since I have a gauge pod specially for my Buick Roadmaster and all the fitments are 2 1/16", 52mm size. I was kind of worried the Oil Sending unit wouldn't fit but man, it did and like a glove!
The coolant temp sending unit i knew it needed an adaptor for LS engines so again another eBay buy.
Coolant Sending unit adapter $15. Worked like a champ.
I also bought some other items too that I have yet to install.
Corvette Fuel Filter/Regulator kit w/an fittings $60. Great price and came with Russell fittings.
&
4l60e AN6 cooler line fittings $10, another great buy, will help eliminate the hard cooler lines out of the transmission.
Yeah, I know. But I'm not made out of money to buy top end stuff.
You don't get it do you? You are not allowed to have access to anything fun or interesting if you cannot buy top notch parts or build them yourself in/from America. /sarcasm
**** that narrowminded bullshit attitude.
You do you and make your life enjoyable. Thanks for sharing.
Hey if it works, it works. Most of the **** I buy on eBay is used stuff, so it's not sending money to China, it's putting a little jingle into some other poor American's pocket, but I do buy the occasional item that is from China. Whatevs. Glad to see which ones work and which are ****. But even if you do happen to get some that's ****, the Chinese are usually very quick to just refund your money and let you keep the trash, as its cheaper for them than to pay return shipping...
I say power to you. Everyone likes to criticize cheap parts but nobody seems to have the ***** to test anything. The logic is, "if its expensive, it must work better". That hasn't been my experience. My only request is that you report how everything works long term so that way we all benefit from your experience.
