Default Upper control arm mounting bolts for 2nd Gen F-Body.

I thought I'd share this, in case anyone else has the need. I'm always tweaking things here and there on my car. This particular episode stems from rebuilding my GW tubular UCAs to include their del-a-lunch bushings. While taking them off, I noticed one of the mounting bolts was a tad loose. That made me nervous, so I decided to replace them all.

I read somewhere where someone replaced his bolts with lug bolts, but then, of course, I couldn't find that thread to save my life. So, I took a trip to advanced auto, where I was allowed to root through their trays of lug bolts. I eventually found a size that would work, Dorman part# 98237.1

These involve making the existing bolt holes a little larger than stock. I drilled mine to 9/16 with one of those step-bits from harbor freight, and cleaned the holes a little with a rat tail file. More Pics coming soon.

Anyway, hope this helps. It should be applicable to pretty much any older GM with upper a-arm's in their front suspensions.
