SLP y pipe

Back in 1999-2002 I had one on my 99 TA until the car for heads, cam & long tube headers etc.
My 99TA was very slightly louder and a filer exhaust note with the SLP Y pipe and SLP Dual / Dual catback than a couple of 99 Firehawk's with the standard Y pipe and SLP Dual / Dual. Both Firehawk owners asked about why my 99TA sounded better. No one else ever noticed the difference.
Power wise on a bolt on only car my guess is the SLP Y pipe is worth 0 to 2 hp. With a heads and cam set up it might be worth 0-4hp. It was viewed as basically a worthless mod. My 99 TA with the SLP Y seemed to be about 2 to 4 hp better than similar mod'd stock Y cars at the local dyno. I have no idea if the car was naturally a little above average or if it was the SLP Y.
I would do other mods for the money.

Looks like it could use a better Y-merge, like a Flowmaster unit. Smoother flow....
