Funny as though air is Being pushed rather than Pulled. Volume/CSA can be over come on F/I. Oh air speed Nor airflow isn't being helped with F/I pushing air into the cylinder. Help me with this People or Mars. Too many 2 a days 12hrs + seen the last thread and just a exhaust valve.

What i find interesting is that the nitrous exhaust port on a pair of cylinder heads even SHINES in a naturally aspirated application motor.

Air flows, it isn't pulled or pushed into the cylinder. Flow doesn't occur without a pressure differential.

A boosted engine has slower air speed than a N/A engine. This is due to the intake charge having much more mass and density than a N/A engine. Thus it moves slower, but has more inertia. It's like the difference between a Mazda Miata and a dump truck. Although the Miata might be going 80mph versus the dump truck at 55mph, the dump truck has more inertia AND will not turn anywhere near as well as the Miata. Just like the intake charge of a boosted engine.

Velocity IS flow, and flow IS velocity. Velocity of a fluid through a given sized orifice also determines flow through that orifice.

The nitrous "exhaust port" to my knowledge is actually the same size as the standard exhaust port. The only different to my knowledge is the valve seat angle on the nitrous exhaust port is 50* versus the standard 45*.

This decreases flow from .100-.300 lift, catches back up by .400 and increases significantly past .500 lift.

My dad has a 08 2500 HD with square port heads and it's a dog at low RPM. Get the engine past 3000 rpm and it comes to life. I just can't believe that GM put such a mismatched head on a truck.

A 2008 2500HD if gas would be a 6.0 so yes it should have square ports. Not 100% sure but it might have the LY6, My LY6 came with 821's

Don't blame that on the heads, They could be the issue but gearing and how the ECU controls the timing can also make the engine a dog down low. My uncle is 100% ford guy and drove a friends newer 2500hd (gas) and was impressed and that's saying a lot. He said it will break the tires loose trying to get the race trailer up to speed.
I also own a 2009 extended 2wd with a 4.8 and it's a dog until well over 3,000 rpms but that's due to the small engine and rear gear ratio. Goes like hell after you get the rpms up but won't spin the tires unless it rains or snows first.

Piles of torque management in those things.

I had a 2011 sierra 6.2 and it sure wasn't lacking in TQ compared to any 5.3 truck. From idle to redline it just had way more power. Would destroy the tires and the 5.3 wouldn't even do a burnout.

Yeah that truck was great. Awesome power and as good or better on fuel as my 5.3's.
