It has been a while since you posted on this thread... but wanted to ask a few questions.

We are doing my brothers 76 Grand Lemans in the near future. What manifolds did you get away with using? What pan would you use given the chance to do it over.

Thanks!

For 73-77 A-bodies, use the Holley mounts for 2nd gen F-bodies. You can use the 4th gen fbody oil pan.

Very cool build. Those seats really do look like they belong.

Used Trailblazer manifolds that I cut and welded so they didn't point towards the frame as much. Probably could have done the same thing with truck manifolds. 5th gen camaro manifolds looks like a nice option too.

I switched over to the Holey 302-1 oil pan last spring. It works great, but needed poly motor mounts because the rubber ones sagged enough to let pan hit steering crossover.

Thanks! I have to say the seats were a great add. They are really comfortable compared to the stockers.

You have a really cool car! Didn't they use these in smokey and the bandit as police cars?

Or was that a Plymouth Fury with the hood scoop?

I found this older thread looking for any updates on this. I have a Can am and I'm thinking about swapping in a LS. I need some more details.
Thx!

Thanks Andrew. I was curious about the using the truck intake it shows that he built a bracket for the scoop. I was wondering how much room he really had. He trimmed the crossmember. I wonder if it was done for height reasons? What about long tubes on an A-body?...Thanks!

Unfortunately that guy hasn't ben here since 2021. I can tell you that I had a functional shaker scoop on my 70 GTO with a LS3. I have a lot of pictures posted here:

I have not done this swap, but I suspect that second gen Camaro LS swap headers should work great. Or, if you want to keep it simple, Hooker makes cast manifolds that fit very tightly against the block and those should fit in this chassis.
