Progress is better than sitting around reading about people's builds and offering opinions...keep up the good work man.
The welds look like that because you are wiggling around the torch too much and are inconsistent on feeding the filler rod. Try to keep the torch close to 45* if you are welding a flange to a tube or 90* if you are butt welding the tubes. Remember, get into a rhythm of feeding and moving the torch. When you feel like you are too hot, you are. Its always easier to slow the process down by reducing heat.
Thanks man. I am working on it. I am excited to work on it this weekend. I feel like I made some pretty good leaps on it for only working on it for 4 days so far.
Ordered a pst driveshaft yesterday. They recommended a 4" aluminum for the power and rpm I will be running. I hope it clears the tq arm and floor lol

Itll be tight. I had a 4" on an F-body, and it rubbed the floor. BFH fixed the problem though. PST, another company 15min from my house...lol. They build great driveshafts man, fast turn around as well.

BFH mod it will be! haha
Good deal. I am taking friday evening, sat and sunday for the car. One niece bday party on saturday but Ill make it short. Lots of work ahead.
Good thing about that WG placement, if the 60mm cant control boost how you like, you can easily slap 2 44mm WG in the same area.
Your car is going to be tater chip light man. Looks great, and Ill be looking for updates come Monday.
It was crazy but last year I had the 46mm precision gate off from the civic on here. it held and did well. similar placement. But yea, good point. I could run them right off from those 2.25 piping.
Trz steering shaft kit. Speaker box carpeting on the floor saves some weight too. Still a lot of work to do! I am really trying to get the car done in a couple weeks for a big car event up here. Sucks I only have weekends to do it! but I will be busting *** here soon!
Nice weight savings on the column. Are you going to run turn signals?
I will eventually wire them up somehow. Not sure how yet. But ill need them. If the car stays solid, Ill put some miles on it for sure. Im not even stressing racing it. I really just want to get it back out on the streets. Been 7 months. I miss it.
PST recommended a 4" aluminum shaft for the rpm I want to run and power i should be able to make.
One of the best overall deals Ive had on the car. Called, ordered, received, fit, done. Like a glove. 4" is a little big but its not too bad. It still has clearance all around.
The holley Hi Ram only has one vacuum port of the rear of it. Dug around and found this Golden Eagle vacuum block in my old honda stuff. Ive been toting this thing around since 2005. Tried listing it on ebay a few times. Never sold. Never thought Id have a use for it. But I am glad I am a hoarder!
