Great thread.
Makes me appreciative that the car I am using for my LS conversion is a nice clean car with no rust at all.

Thank you! It's a thick plastic layer, almost like bed liner material that dries as hard as a rock.

5.3 was too heavy so I picked up a low mile 5.7, I installed new arp studs, bottom end will be assembled by tonight. New cam, oil pump etc should be here tuesday.

I got the shocks installed along with the spindles

I mocked up the block and trans just to get an idea of where the shifter sits

Great work so far. WHat are you doing for the clutch master cylinder and mount? DSE has a nice bracket that can be welded to seal it up or bolted.

Default Update

Motors done, I got it in the car last night along with the flywheel, clutch. Etc. I also installed the tranny.

I can't wait to sandblast the original air filter housing and mock the shaker on top of it!

I'll sand blast it when I get home.

I'm looking to go with the widest tires I can fit, front and back. It's a 17x9 inch rim so I can easily get 275s on there, maybe 285. Looking for grippy track tires i.e continental extreme, kumho ectsa, just something with a mid sidewall for looks and cornerability.

I'm going to see how bad traction in the back is, then I can widen/play with back spacing afterwards lol

Hello everyone, I got the shifter mounted and I made some brackets to hold it in.

what I really need now is everyone's opinions. I have these nice heated seats that I can fab up some mounts for, there a little high, so that's the only thing keeping me from finalizing it. They feel pretty good but I'm thinking on getting some bucket seats, then wrapping them in the same color
