Default 2002 f-body brackets missing

I have noticed that some f-bodies dont have the bracket on the drivers side for the accelerator cables. Does that mean someone has had the intakes off and forgot to replace them or are different setups like automatics different.

What do you mean, some cars have traction control which does also go through the throttle cable. My 98 does not have traction control and just goes to the tb

Default Bracket

Wrong pic. Its on the drivers side of the intake and holds the throttle cable. All cars have a throttle cable.

Not sure what you mean. The throttle cable and bracket are on the passenger side.

Mine came with an L-shaped bracket with an upside down U-shaped clip to retain the throttle and/or cruise cables. It mounted about 3/4 way back on the driver side of the intake manifold. It was misplaced originally but I bought another, PN 12552865.

Negative. There are no brackets on the drivers side. The only piece back there was a tab to loop the wires into so they could install the cables on the motor and loop them into the chassis on the assembly line

Every time I've removed the cables they hang freely. If there was anything, there may have been a small tab that you looped the wires in. But all of the throttle cables hang freely across the back of the engine bay to the passengers side

Default Bracket

Its on the drivers side. If you bought the car used the previous owner or mechanic removed it.
