Default F1r on a 2002 fbody Help

is there anyone with a 98-02 (trans am preferred) fbody that can provide pictures on how you set it up? I mocked mine up and doesn't seem like It will fit right. need to know where your blowoff valve is located and what couplers you have, since it seems like I bought an incomplete kit..

and does it matter where the valve is? before or after the intercooler?

A guy local to me was running a F1R Procharger in his 98-02 F-Body, but I don't have any pictures. I just remember it looked like everything on the front of the engine had been removed and there was a ton of room in there. Pretty sure all the tubing was custom fabricated.

You want to put the bypass valve before the intercooler, this will keep the hot air out of the cooler until you go into boost. This isn't a F1-R but here's some D1 pics to get the general idea

If you mount the headunit in the typical f-body spot, under the alternator, then you are going to run into issues putting an inlet on it because of the radiator being there. Standing up your rad won't help either. Some people have removed their a/c, and pushed the rad forward where the a/c condensor was, and that get's you another inch or so.

Is this assuming puller fans? If you go to pushers and slide the condenser out of the radiator bracket, you can get a ton more room in front of the blower.

The condenser is going away, I got the single fan now and pushing the radiator forward now.. great pics there and beautifully done, Conan. only that my pipe that goes to the throttle body comes out the opposite side.. I got a used unit so don't know how complete it is.. previous guy doesn't know much since he got it used and didn't install it. appreciate the help guys

This is how we set it on on my Camaro with an F-1C, which is physically the same size as an F-1R. Being basically a track car we ran the bypass valve after the intercooler as we had more room for it up there and it didn't kick up as much dust as an open bypass valve can when they are mounted lower. Holy filter Bob!!! Did you do any testing with just a screen on the blower inlet compared to a tube and filter?

Nope, we never did. That was the largest K&N filter that I found that would fit. Bob
