The thread is a little old but still applicable. I bought the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ for my C6 because I will drive it when it is cold outside. I remember getting caught in a snow storm many years back with the Goodyear GS-D3 summer tires on my Trans Am. They turned into rock hard hockey pucks and I couldn't get home (steep climb) and I left the car in a friend's driveway. While it was the best tire I ever owned for traction and handling, I have stuck with the performance all-seasons ever since. The Michelins I mentioned are an outstanding tire in every respect and I have had them on my GT/CS through all kinds of weather conditions without giving up very much in performance. Quite a tire. If I lived in Florida, yeah, no need for an all-season tire.
