We gave ourselves some extra room. We have a good 1"-1-1/2"

What's the offset you run to get that much clearance?? Running a spacer?

I'm on knockoff C5z wheels at +56 offset (I believe OEM c5z is +58) with maybe 5mm spacer and I still rub using a 315/30/18 hoosier.

No spacer, and a +56 offset as well. We did use some "active persuasion" on the fenderwell area. Bumpstops actually cleared with no problem.

We had a productive and informative day at the road course this past weekend. We are sifting through all the data and pictures now and will be putting together a new video for the next installment on our build. The car made some significant improvements even with these basic parts!

You are going to need a big spacer. I still need to measure mine, even the decent sized spacer that is on there rubs with that same wheel. Tried 7.55" BS this weekend and it still rubs the shoulder off the tire.

Shaved stock rear LCA lip and MORE 5lb hammering may have fixed it...

We will see next go around.

Anymore spacer and I lose hub centering. Unless I go with a 12+mm spacer to gain hub centering back but then risk outer fender clearance issues. Ohh the tangled web we weave.

Run more spring and outer fender contact becomes a non-issue

We are actually doing the final edits to the next installation of the video series now. It should be posted up this afternoon

Edit: I actually just realized I forgot to post the Part 2 video where we installed a Texas Speed and Performance exhaust on the car, so here it is. Part 3 will be up this afternoon!

We made another trip the Florida International Rally and Motorsports Park over the weekend. We ran the car with the new brakes and dropped out lap times by over 4 seconds per lap! Here are a couple of pictures. This trip concluded Phase 1 of the build and the next video will be the wrap-up. We are really excited for Phase 2 to begin! This is going to become a whole different car very quickly!

Sub 100 treadwear tires, so this doesn't seem to target the SCCA CAM/Optima/Goodguys/LS Fest type of events, at least not yet since those are all 200+TW events.

Is this supposed to be STIKiller 2.0 and pick up where GMHTP died a miserable death?

The Falken tires are a 200 treadwear. The events you listed and the fact that its still a real street car is why we went this route.

As far as the STi Killer, that car was certainly talked about during the planning of this car, but it is not meant to be a comparison or a continuation of that project. That car is really a great performer and our car is not on that level yet. Our plan is to surpass the Killer's capabilities, but our plan is to build something that is more o the "racecar" side.

Honestly, we are just planning on building a fast track car that will truly push our parts harder than we have ever pushed them before.

Yeah, totally misread the tire, derp.

Good luck, competition only means better parts selection for the rest of us.

We definitely agree! We are hoping to have our projects cars out being used at more events in the very near future. We are looking forward to being able to give our customers demos and ride-alongs!
