Personally, hands on? No. Know a few people with ITBs or who have set them up.

Lance, I thought I'd put this up for you since your pictures are a little small and dark.

Default Itb vol = 126%

Hi DOJ, your "Heat Soak" comment, A "HIP" SHOT ?

MY DATA and Customer reports ARE FROST on the outside of the runners on a cool/wet day.

THUS: In order
#1 = A LIE
#2 = As pictured
#3 = Tuning, any good tuner/mechanic and correct design.

As for OVK, my guess is that those guys in F-1 must be DOMB, just a lot of money to spend (Deeep Pockets)

Having trouble understanding what your saying or questioning with your phrasing.

But my friends' and/or their customers' cars, in PA with high humidity in 90+ degree temps, were under closed hoods/engine bay. No one really drives their cars in the cold or in the wet that I'm referencing. 1 was a gt40 kit car, 1 was a '32 3 window, 1 was a '69 camaro.

All the issue lies with sitting in traffic or actually pushing the car on the track... gt40 and camaro were used in autox and track days. '32's closed in engine bay in traffic was it's issue.

Hot air rises and was getting consumed by the ITBs. The '69 I think even had a cowl hood.

The recent '32 they just did with just a hood w/ no paneling on the engine bay had no issues this past summer cruising to local shows it seemed.

If that's the case I may have to rethink this. Do you have dyne sheets of a standard intake vs your ITB?
No, its not for looks, but you have to understand what the ITB “allows” you to build under it. For me the requirement was a boulevard bruiser, big cubes, big cam, huge heads, idles under 1000rpm, has excellent throttle response, peak power at 7000 +/- a couple hundred and make a great power. All boxes checked and achieved what single TB setups cant....460ci, .262/.272 .680/.680 made 800hp @ 6800, purrs like a kitten at 8-900rpm with incredible docile street manners.

Swapping one intake for the other is a pointless exercise.

While I wont be going that far with a build, if a ITB setup is beneficial on even a mild H/C LT1 motor at ~400rwhp then why not try it. For my needs, making gobbs of power will hurt me rather than help me.

If it allows even more fine tuning of runner length to exact motor requirements then a off the shelf standard intake is lacking.
