That is my plan, I’m going to try and run the stock pump, I have 1 1/2 Line though. I should be able to let you guys know soon, I’m hoping to fire the car up this weekend.
I’m stuck here, should the steam vents gonall
The way to the back to the expansion tank? It seems like they should to me.
Well I hope I don’t have to touch my fuel system for a very long time, except for pumps.
Dual 8an lines to dual Bosch 044 pumps (upgrading to 380 or maybe 450’s if needed)
Dual out and then Y into 5/8 tubing to the front where it y’s back out dual 8an into the back of each rail, runs thru the rails and
Then dual 8an down into the regulator, then 1/2 tube back to the tank. Running the pumps on 30# base fuel pressure to stretch these pumps out as far as I can, 210# injectors. Was freaking expensive, mainly because I changed my mind 50 times along the way. One major hurdle down on the way to starting it this weekend. Also completed my hydroboost install sans 1 bulkhead fitting I’m waiting on.
Picked up a couple gallons of oil for my break in, and three filters. Was a pain in the *** finding filters without a bypass, evidently I got the Ford thread 3/4-16. Oops. Probably change that down the road.
Man am I a happy guy tonight! Finally got my new dash lit up and the boost controller! So stoked! Got my extra modules installed as well and the speed, oil, fuel pressure, and water temp wires up!!! Had to include. Photo of my comfy wiring space also haha
Also installed a bleeder in the top of the wTer pump.
Looking more ore and more promising for this weekend to be the first fire!
Wow, lots of progress since the last time I checked out your build. Looking great! Can you post some more information on the GTO rack and pinion? Very interesting.
Ive been meaning to ask about the GTo rack too!! Give up the details man!! LOL!!!
Also, i wanted to ask about your downpipe size, since our 2 builds are about identical, what size are you running? I found a 5 inch clamp to hold the flange to the turbo, but it either is 5" or necks down to 4,,,,, and i have room for 4.5 so id like to run max i can, but then, i cant seem to find 4.5 exhaust tubing online!!
Who did you get the flange from? I saw Little john has them so figured id order my cam and those other things together.

It’s not for the the faint of heart. You have to do some welding on the column, shorten the ends of the rack and sleeve them, and build a mount. All relatively simple to do, though. The gto tie rods work in the nova spindles luckily. Here are some pictures I took. I’m planning on on the mount design yet, just a piece of thick angle iron because I’m thinking I’m goin to buy a tubular subframe.

Are you gonna post the first crank!!!????
Week end is coming in hot!!!
Lead.
im running 5” all the way to the side of the trans, then it drops to 4” aluminum and dumps at the back axle. Got the flange off eBay, everyone else was sold out when I was looking at the time. And yup, sure am! I’m going to remove the hotside and Fire it up, make sure it blows out all the single berries from welding first, I’ll video it after it’s back on 😉.
Bunch more work done tonight, got the water pump modded and all ready to go, before thanksgiving tomorrow I’m going to Menards to get the rest of my rear mount radiator set supplies, making it work since it’s an hour away to the next town.
180* t stat for a sbc.
Also got my dash all set up so the gauges function for my first fire, I must say I’m glad I made this investment, this thing is trick. Also got my shift light wired up.
Took 7 gallons of antifreeze if anyone is interested. Got allynfuel
Leaks figured out, pulled the stock tune file off and called it a night, going to work on he tune in the house tonight and start fresh in the morning.
Really wanna see results on that rear radiator set up. I always thought about a rear mount radiator but I never went for it but if it works for you I might go for it.
