LS1 or LS3 Camaro Water pump should work with that Ls6 intake. You can use the Fbody alternator mount and use a truck alternator btw.

As a point of reference for you, here's a few images of the fitment of the Hooker LS cast iron exhaust manifolds on the development vehicle with the same Hooker engine plates you have.

Oh yea totally. wasnt bashing the mount plates at all, just stating an interference i ran into that was going to work with the other mounts i had regarding the exhaust manifolds. they are temporary anyway as i just need something to get the exhaust out of the engine bay while i run the car NA for a bit to sort issues. im doing this project on a shoestring budget which means im spending more time on things than i am money. just open brain dumps when i run across stuff.

ill probably end up with the hooker turbo manifolds next year when im doing the turbo phase of this project.

Youll need F-Body Water Pump, Alternator Bracket, Pulley, and Power steering if you are retaining that.

The only cowl hoods i trust are HOFibertrend and Cervini and those are both 600 before paint.

I didn't take your comments as a bashing of the Hooker plates, I just want to be sure that anyone who comes across your thread understands the intended design characteristics behind the components in the Hooker swap system and the fact that their benefits are lessened when any one component is used alone outside of the complete system. That being said, they seem to be working out much better for you than what you had previously, so that may be helpful information to anyone desiring to do a swap in a similar fashion to you.

yea the engine position is WAY better with them so far. Once i stuff the 80e in there ill post more pics of how it ends up sitting in the tunnel.

im very happy i saw your reply in another thread about them.

in many ways i wish i was doing a "no budget" build and just ordering a bunch of parts like the tv shows do and slamming it together. i have no doubt now that it would basically just jump into the chassis using you guys parts. you can tell that they were very well thought out.

For my knowledge, what brand are the solid engine mounts you're using? I might add a note of compatibility regarding them in the application guide.

Unfortunately i didnt have much time over the holidays to work on the car. Had some family issues that needed attention and pulled me away from this.

got in the Camaro accessories and once it warms up a bit ill be back out working on it again. Waiting on the dirty dingo alt bracket i got to show up.

Well that was fun. Ordered the dirty dingo alternator bracket and the ebay seller shipped me a media blasting guidebook lol. They are correcting the issue but that was one of those WTF moments when i opened the package.

i also saw the sale from Jegs on the hooker turbo manifolds and crossover pipe. went ahead and ordered those and ill be running just one downpipe off of it and running it NA through these until i get the turbo stuff sorted out.

the best part is these tighten down to just about 25-30ftlbs which is perfect for almost everything that bolts TO an LS motor and will break loose most common LS bolts. love it!

sub frame connectors on the way. going to use these to anchor my trans mount to so im not using the floorpan as a mounting solution. once they arrive and i get them installed i can get the 80e into the tunnel and start building the mounts for it.

been working on getting the cars wiring harness back into the engine bay and laid out where it needs to be then im going to start grafting the truck harness into the bay as well. planning on running both until going turbo then im going to switch to a standalone harness. i have the full truck harness and fuse block so im just going to set it up in the bay and make it work. wont be the prettiest but itll get the thing running.

These cars have so much room in them for an ls motor and 2 turbos with room for air conditioning and all in gonna keep the power steering delete the abs and possibly switch to a v6 brake booster instead of hydroboost
