Default Pre-LS tuning help

Just throwing this out there.
I have a 1998 S10.
The 4.3 is .030 with flat tops, .030 milled heads, 276/268 .500 .500 112LSA custom cam, Big Y pipe, MSD Ignition
I am LS Swapping the truck, but I have HPTuners.
I built the 4.3 and lost interest but now that its nothing-to-lose Id like to throw some timing at it or something.

Any suggestions what to do on HPTuners? I know how to navigate the software and I understand engines, but I have no idea where to start when it comes to, say, bumping up timing, or lowering the desired idle, etc?

Or anyone bored and wanna play with my tuning file with my build in mind?

Can I ZERO the piston protect.
And double the HO Max.
And then EGR Correction.... I have no EGR so.... ?
Then is there anyway to just increment the main spark timing (Base)?
And what is max torque timing?

Thanks In Advance

Use the scanner to see what u are commanding at wot timing. Thin move it in the base timing table from there.

Say scanner shows 28* total. Add 2* more to base for 30* in your wot area. All idle tuning will be under the idle tab.

I usually zero out the timing advance corrections for the most part, to control timing to what i want. They are always adding and subtracting from diff things.
