So I'm waiting on my fitech 70050 to come in so I can fire off my 5.3 in my nova.....so I thought I'd play with some 6.0 parts for my next build....I had purchased a set of ls3 style heads with 64cc chamber. .....I noticed that the valvespring retainers looked a lil off center or crooked Upon investagation i found that the spring locators are non existing and are replaced with shims......how is this supposed to not chew up my valveseals and work at the same time.....hmmmm
So i have another set of identical heads with the same valvesprings, i completely replaced the springs seals and retainers for ls6 style bee-hives.....these look alot better and i know the locaters will keep the springs in place....
Havery any of you seen just shims under the valvesprings...... I need a bigger garage .....lol
