Yes indeed, I'm ready to get the TA done and back on the road. At this point the hp numbers don't matter as much, I just want the car back and running well.
TA with assorted parts at Norris Motorsports. Three cars are in que ahead of the TA.
There was also some good news. Looks like the shifter had a couple of bolts come loose. The old Pro 5.0 and the Mangum transmission appear to be OK.

Decided to change the exhaust. The TA has a Kook's y pipe, 3 inch cut out, SLP Dual / Dual exhaust.
I just couldn't talk myself into the Kook's 3 inch true dual set up because of cost and ground clearance concerns on my lowered TA. The Kook's set up is fantastic being good to ~ 1200 hp. I decided to go with the Holley Black Heart 2.5 inch true dual exhaust set up.
I have the 2.5"Bassani and it flows really good. I think the Blackheart is a good choice
Talked with Norris Motorsports today and got good news
The motor is back together and reinstalled in the car.
Getting the new exhaust fitted today and a few other details are on the list for today. My old bolt on SLP suvframe connectors may have to have triangle center section tweaked for the dual Hooker Black Heart exhaust.
Thats funny. I had a friend go to Norris dyno yesterday. And they had told him they had a motor to start installing once he was done. Bet that was yours he was looking at
Super excited can't wait to get the TA back. Really tired of driving the Tundra.
The pictures may didn't show the piston damage in full detail. Two were chewed up pretty bad from hitting the valves. Mile said the pistons were jacked up enough they might cause hot spots so best to replace the two damaged ones.
Likewise I tossed the old set of rockers after two took that sort of hit.
Darth I bet your friend did see my engine just before install. Norris is busy lots of cars and projects going on.
Touched base with Norris Motorsports and got some good news and an item for concern.
Hopefully this week I may get the TA back. They car is running again!!! Mike and crew dabbed up some adapter couplings for the Kook's headers to the Hooker Black Heart dual exhaust
However, there is a weird "knocking" noise on and off that feels like it is at the drivers rear area of the manifold and sounds more like plastic then metal per the shop. They think maybe an internal runner in the FAST intake is not secure.
They will pull the intake and see what is found...
They did a visual before re-install and it looked OK. I'm sure Norris Motorsports will find the issue and hopefully it is a minor one.
On another note...The saga continues.....
It's been six months to day since the stolen damaged TA was recovered. Last week one of the dirt ***** believed behind the theft and break in got busted for dealing meth.
Six months ago the three believed involved were free and my TA was busted. Today all three believed involved have a list of various felony charges pending and the TA is running again

Have to get new LSXR intake runners: long or mid length?
Norris Motorsports found the knocking problem several intake runners are separated and rattling around. Number #5 is shown below and #8 is the same. See below.
Should I get a pair of ported long runners or replace or mid length runners?
The 416 has a 237/245 cam .625/.625 lift on 114 LSA. Is that enough cam for mid runners?
I didn't plan to use mids but will likely spend as much replacing the VR ported long runners as a set of mids so it seemed worth considering

I vote midlength as well. Honestly, a 416 is going to make torque on accident. More benefit to be had from widening the torque curve vs trying to raise the lower end of it
Per Vengeance Racing the mid runners won't help enough to fool with on my little 237/245 cam 416. They said stay with the ported long runners with the little cam.
Ordered the VR ported runners from WS6 Store today
The ported Vengeance Racing runners arrived today. I dropped them off at Norris Motorsports. The TA may be completed tomorrow and finally get the car back.
However, the schedule is booked for weeks so the car won't be tuned....so still no dyno result.
The Hooker Black Heart exhaust tips looked better than I expected
