So I never use my cup holder as a cup holder as we all know that cups get in the way of our shifting. Some people use the rear fold down cup holders as an alternate, but when my wife rides she uses the cup holder and I have to become Mr Stretch. I saw online the removable BMW cup holder but tried multiple locations but it needed medium modification. So I did this... I bought this from eBay.

These are the pics of the end result. It matches the interior very well with the brushed silver and it doesn’t get in the way of opening and closing the door handle.

Very easy to do. Just chop off some of the bottom and grind at an angle to get it level. Tap in 3 screws to the window switch housing and a new cup holder for the wife. It’s not removable as it’s screwed in.
