The reason I asked is because I also use the Holley Dominator and HP, I was wondering if you considered controlling your Davies pump with the Holley PWM feature? I control my fans with it using the corvette/fusion pwm module ($25 at a local salvage yard) and it should also be able to control your pump. It's easy to program and setup would be similar to the fan setup. Edit: Looking at the specs for the pump it probably won't work. I initially thought it was controlled by PWM but it's variable voltage.

He was thinking about that controller for the Davies Craig electric water pump I'm going to run this year. Good points though in case someone had an idea of trying it with a fuel pump.

I did manage some progress over the weekend and tonight.
New trans went in Friday evening and fit without any issues.
Decided to added additional tubing out of the radiator as the wastegate was going to be too close if I put a 90deg coupler right out of the radiator, so I just extended it more. I'll probably put some wrap about the tube to help keep the heat off it.
Many other little things taking shape, and I did manage to get the new drain lines and oil feed lines done. Injectors and intake back on the car. Happy to get the drivers side downpipe wrapped tonight and back in the car.
By the weekend, I should have it fired up, dyno is schedule on the 24th.

Make some really good progress today and fired the car up this evening. I still have to hook up the water pump controller and finish a couple small details, but it should be good for next weekend to dial it in, then hit the track with good weather.

I've stuck with the Davies setup, and I did end up using their controller. So far it works greats, and while our weather is still cool, I can pretty much run around without running my fan, even in stop and go traffic.
Got my first pass in yesterday, track was marginal, and right out of the gate I had a .06 improvement in 60' and it went 1.321
I had a few issues that pass with a miss shift, I pedal'd the car early in the run, and it hazing the tires on the big end. Ended up with an 8.58 @ 162. Pretty disappointed with the mph. While I had the timing softened up from last year, it's off the pace and with bigger turbos I'm a bit perplexed. I have a big heads up race on the 28th, so time is short to make some more hits.

Got some time on the car this weekend. Test hits on Saturday and Dyno today to dial in the tune some more.
Still trying to figure out the suspension. Got my best 60' last weekend with a 1.32, but its inconsistent. Making some suspension changes this week and will slow the shocks down more.
8.26 pass was on some mellow boost. Turned it up, but didn't get it to the ground.
On the dyno, made some good headway power wise than what it was making at the track.
Have a big race this Saturday, so hopefully it all comes together.

Here is the dyno progression from today.
The 8.26 pass was on 25lbs 14 deg timing 11.5afr
We ended up with the last pull on the dyno at 30lbs and 17 deg of timing and went from my previous 11.5 A/F to 11.2 A/F. The A/F change picked up about 15 HP and torque, so thats nice it liked to be run fatter.
We feel it should be making more power, perhaps the cam is a bit small and causing it to hold back, but hard to say.

Here is the exact breakdown on the progress.
23psi 16 degrees 11.5afr = 965rwhp
23psi 18 degrees 11.5afr = 1069rwhp
23psi 20 degrees 11.5afr = 1100rwhp
23psi 20 degrees 11.2afr = 1107rwhp
30psi 14 degrees 11.2afr = 1221rwhp
30psi 17 degrees 11.2afr = 1294rwhp
30psi 18 degrees 11.2afr = 1306rwhp
One thing I don't mention about my build is that the builder missed on compression and this combo is only 8.8:1
Obviously each combo reacts different. This is also on an NGK B8EFS at .018 gap. I'm going with a B9EFS at .02 gap this week. I will not be going back on the dyno to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks for adding the data to the dyno numbers. It's always good to see the progression. The car is running strong at the 25 psi setting and it seems that you are still sorting it out a little. At 8.8:1 you will naturally have to add a few extra psi to compensate, but it gives you a very safe tuning window. Looks like the dyno may be a little stingy?
