Spal Fan part #30102057

Sold via Holley just like the B&M cooler.

NOTE: These B&M coolers have been disappearing like crazy...

I believe there are only 5 or 6 models still available and they will be gone soon too!

Holley is replacing these with there Earl's brand coolers for double to quadruple the price.

I've been a fan of Hayden lately. They work great for most applications and cost me peanuts compared to the derale, b&m, earls, etc etc

You guys just mounting them with zip ties? Or what are you using to mount the fan to the radiator?

Thanks

"best" way would be to do a shroud and bolt it on with maximized airflow

But using the little radiator zip-ties that come with most trans coolers have proven to work fine for many guys

I have had to repair a lot of radiators a the track using those
"zip" mounts through the radiator. I use a set of rigid steel rods
bent appropriately and mount them to the support with about 1/4 inch gap
between the radiator and the cooler.. For safety some foam tape is put
on the edges that might contact between the cooler and radiator.

Cheers

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Definately!

DO NOT use plastic type ties through a cooler with soft copper or aluminum fins!

Doing so with a cooler that has rigid fins.... is okay... but not ideal.

As a side note, B&M coolers are made by Long Manufacturing, so you can get a Tru Cool trans cooler instead. The Tru Cool equivalent to the 70274 is the H7B. Same cooler, much cheaper price.
