% wise sure there are probably more failed 5 pinions

just raw data...there were 10x the 60e produced vs 65/70 so there are more of those broken probably

the conclusion was reached based on experience, study of the design and metallurgy, and understanding of the true failure mode/root cause of damage and recognizing that 5 pinions are worse for the most common failure modes.
Myself, vortec, and a couple "big name" shops you probably know about have used the 4 pinions in "increased power" applications as you might say and their track record is convincing enough for me to continue using the 4 pinion over the 5 pinion.

Newbie here. Saying you will NEVER use a 4 again is like YOUR customer saying they will never use you again. It took me a year to figure out I had Fake AC-Delco spark plugs. Yours may have been too. Or,
the other guy was eluding to Human error but just didn't say it.

I have 3 55-Gallon drums of nothing but exploded Front 5-Pinion Planets... LMAO!

One day I am going to make some Dirt-Bike PM Connecting Rods from them!

That would be the "Hollow-Pin" and "Oil Slinger" Rear Planet!

Always nice to find in a 87+ Core!

No Sarcasm
The 4 pinion hollow pin oil slinger planets are the best
Everything else is a downgrade
