NGK spark plugs revealed (with part numbers and stock numbers) Mod's I put this in the N2O forum only because I was doing this research in order to find the options of plugs for various power/spray levels. Did some research today at the local auto parts store here in Keller. They were kind enough to let me thumb through the NGK catalogs for a good half-hour. Here's what I found for the LS1's
The plug design is as follows:
14mm
.708" Reach
5/8" Hex
Loose - Tapered Seat
Non-Resistor
Each one is one heat range colder (except the TR5/55, they are the same heat range) as you go down the list. The last three are considered racing application plugs, and may cause RFI issues with electronics, specifically stereo systems. Below the TR6's is what everyone would reference as TR7, TR8, TR9, and TR10 plugs, although NGK does NOT use these designations in their part numbers.... so you'll probably get some crazy looks if you ask a store for a set of TR7's
Hope this helps clear up some of the confusions when you have to go get spark plugs..... This info was pulled directly from NGK's 2003 Catalog. I can only assume it's correct.

Those look familiar. I have to look around but there is a cross reference spreadsheet running around that has every spark plug heat range and make listed. Might be nice so that people can figure out what plugs to jump to if you're going to try out another one.
