The wisdom of GM dictated that they glue them in as well as bolt them in. Ya know if the bolts fail we still have the glue. Ya gotta break the glue seal as well.

Do you have any tips? I already tried a hairdryer and hitting the bar but i'm afraid i might put a dent in the door.

All you have to do is grind socket down till it it have maybe 1/4 inch or less of depth in the socket to grab the bolts still, then put it on your 1/4 inch ratchet. Wear gloves and something to cover your arms, because you will have to put some force on the ratchet, and when it lets go and your arms aren't covered, it does hurt (know from experiance).

Big flat head screwdriver. Wedge it in between the bar and bracket. Position it inline with the bar going towards the hinges. Just keep tapping/prying it in and it'll act as a wedge driving the two apart.

Tap it with a hammer, or shove it forward. The window is out of the way so you won't break anything
