Default Finally dyno tuned TSP 224R with Stage 2.5 5.3's!!!!

At long last, after waiting for nearly six weeks for a tune, I have my final results. Here's a link to my original post highlighting my interesting self-install experience... https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...7&page=1&pp=20

The baseline here is the lowest of my three baseline pulls; I guess they wanted me to feel good. My best of three pulls was 317 at the wheel, but the one on this sheet was 310. The baseline was with a Vararam and Z06 Titanium only. The mods on the dyno from today included a 224/224 .581/.581 on a 112 with Texas Speed's 5.3 liter stage 2.5 heads, an LS6 intake, an underdrive pulley, and LG Street headers with cats. I'm quite pleased, although I was secretly hoping for 415. The torque curve is nice and broad, though, so I'm very happy.

Before the tune, I didn't get on it at all, for fear that it might be lean. I couldn't tell a difference at all at low rpm and light load. After the tune, even at light throttle, it felt faster. I can roll into it in second, and it sticks, but I swear it feels about as fast as first gear used to. No matter how gently I roll into it in first gear, the tires start to shred. :reddevil You can definitely feel the power rolling on above 4k, but even down low, it's a noticeable improvement over stock. The LG Streets sound awesome through the Z06 catback; nice and mild at idle and cruise, but a nice rumble at WOT. Well, I guess it's just time to sit back and enjoy the fruits of my labor (and $$$).

Nice low and mid-range torque. Probably feels like a much bigger motor now.

Congrats! I've had my TR224 and 5.3 H/C combo since 2003 and I like it so much I can't bring myself to change anything. Enjoy it.

Yeah, based on my curve, I would think a ported TB would give me another 5-10 horses... I might look into that. I wonder if it would require a new tune...
