Nice numbers.
I really thought the GM Carb will make better numbers and with gears swap too.

Thanks for sharing.

So in a nutshell, the L76 intake made lots more power than the Carb intake. Did the carb intake have an intake elbow or was the TB on top?

I had a short elbow from intakeelbows.com and the same 90mm dbw TB on it.

Yeah, the carb intake was put on there for the turbo system, which I ditched.
I knew the L76 intake was much stronger but didn't want to post anything until I had hard data.

Those results are very similiar to mine when I did the Vic Jr to FAST 90 test. I used the Accufab TB on the Vic Jr and the FAST out ran it across the board by more than 20 whp and tq on my 347 with no other changes but the intake and both were optimally tuned.

Good info there and thanks for sharing.

No problem. My plans for this fall is to dyno again when it cools off then swap on ported 317's and the truck intake and dyno and then swap cams to something with a little tighter LSA but similar duration.

can they factor in a correction for the final drive? otherwise that would be equivalent to 3rd vs a 4th gear pull if it were on say something like a t-56

The truck does have a T56. Just a really heavy wheel/tire combo.

32" tall tire (275/55-20's) and a T56. The same tire on Siverado SS's. It is the same final drive as an F-body with 26" tires and 4.10's.

Wow, carb intake got worked! Even on the higher RPMs where they're supposed to shine.

Dont doubt those results considings the huge ports on the L92 heads and GM intake and the smallish cubic inches your running. Now put same combo on a 427 cubed motor and i bet the out is a little different.

I agree, especially since the carb intake didn't even start to feel good until 5500-7200 when I shifted. The L76 fells good at 4500-6500 and is real flat above that. The L76 would hold a 427 back IMO.
