Stock(ish) bottom end 5.3 goes 7.16 @ 190.
I've been seeing this on Facebook for the last couple of days. I'm on my phone so I'll post screenshots and make it quick.
Basically, it's a 2004 5.3 with nothing but rod bolts in a Pro Mod Sonoma chassis. Went 7.19 @ 190 this past weekend.
But will it go 6s?

Congrats fellas! Would love to hear about the set up and see some pics of the build. I recall when this all started one of the pro mod guys getting pissed at the speeds being reached and saying "Whats next. someone going to swap an LS into a go-cart?"
Seems not yet. Next year we gonna see a 6.9x me thinks
They might be Canadians but I have a strong suspicion theres some Viking blood there

I was one of the welders behind the turbo kit and trailered the truck down with John.
We put this truck together in 3 weeks after hours as we work day jobs.
It was extremely low budget,
Alibaba stainless block hugger headers
left over mild steel piping
mild steel charge pipe
semi truck 4" exhaust
799 heads that were on an 8 second street car that destroyed a piston so we welded and repaired the head(no port work), stock valves
Custom Comp cam
ls9 head gaskets, ARP head studs, ARP rod bolts(yea yea give us flack we ran out of time)
Iron block, 04 year, not filled, no water ran due to fuel choice. This engine block came from a truck hit so bad in the front, the AC compressor mounts were cracked off the block. I think we paid $200 for it.
Cast wheel GTX55 91mm
M1 fuel
Holley Dominator
Atmozier 225s which are maxed out.
Yes the truck was a pro stock truck which is owned by our friend John Cuglietta.
We had a blast! Considering we did roughly 2 shitty 1/8 mile hits(spun), 2 clean 1/8 mile hits, one garbage attempt at a 1/4 mile pass, and 2 clean 1/4mile passes (7.26 on 37PSI and 7.16 on 40PSI backing it up)

What would you like to know, we are an open book. Nothing to hide, well aside from the cam specs(proprietary) and we will keep letting people guess on the weight. Its quite entertaining.
