Default Factory Y-Pipe

Looking for a aftermarket y-pipe to connect after my factory cats? Can I use an ORY then cut it down and have it welded? I have an exhaust leak so this isn’t really for power gains and can’t run LT’s in CA.

SLP sells (or, at least they used to sell - not sure if they still do) a bolt-in replacement Y-pipe that connects to the factory cats. Cutting/welding would be required for a '98-'99 car, '00+ is direct bolt-in.

In CA you have to becareful, the cats have to be within a certain region (like no less than 2 inches of difference north or south) of the stock cats or it will fail visual emissions even if you have them. You're better off getting a Catted Y-Pipe

The SLP Y-pipe I mentioned above attaches to the factory cats, so it would not relocate them at all. There would be no reason to get a catted Y-pipe for this application if all you need is the piping after the cats.
