Default VSR 92/103 with 6.0 lq4

Do any of you guys have any experience using the billet 92/103 from VSR ? looking to upgrade from my 85mm. Im gonna be running a 6.0 lq4 in my camaro this upcoming year at the local drag strip and this 92mm is on sale right now so figured id ask. Im not finding much info on them. The car is gonna still have a th400 with a brake and the 6.0 is getting forged.

I had a 92/110. Made 1150 on a well built 6.0L.
If it's anything like their 88/103, should be a good turbo.

I would contact Viren as VS Racing and ask him what he recommends, his support is excellent from what I hear.

From what I've seen they don't make any more than the 88/103. Quite a few people on the TurboBullet page bought then sold them bc they were very disappointed in results thinking they would make 1300+. But if you're looking for no more than 1150, it would be a solid purchase.

I ended up buying a next gen 88/102 1.58 ar slip fit because it met the budget. I’ve heard decent things about it so hopefully it’ll put down some good numbers paired with my 6.0
shooting for 1100-1200 wheel

The VSR 80/96 will do 1100 on kill. If the 88/103, 92/103 etc can't make more than 1300 they are some junk or people just aren't leaning on them hard enough. If those big spooli bois truly are junk better off getting twin 7875's they are proven to make way more.

it was the 92/110 that didn’t make much more power than the 88/103 from what I’ve seen.. that’s why it isn’t even listed on the vs racing site if I’m not mistaken.

Gotcha, they do have a bunch its hard to keep them straight: 92/103, 94/108, 94/113, etc.

I agree. Honestly the 92/103 might be down on expected power as well.. all the Dyno graphs I’ve seen are all over the place. I bought the 88/102 so I’ll see how that goes next year.

Agree that the 88/102 seems like the best bet for their 88-91 line up. Should be solid for you! Post up how things go and what you make!

Bringing this old thread back to life instead of making a new one. Any updates on this turbo? Looking for real world experience. I currently run a VSR t6 80/96 1.32 and at 24psi I feel like I'm close to maxing this out. I understand other more expensive 80mm turbos may make more power but I've seen where specifically this VS unit stops a little over 1k whp and wont quite make 1100 on V8's, before it really starts pushing some hot air. So who's used this 92/103 turbo?
