Default Seat belt ratcheting?

Do the seatbelts in our cars have the function where if you fully extend them they ratchet back until you retract them all the way? I wanted to put a car seat in the back so my kid could ride around with me, but not if the belts won't hold the seat tightly.

Let me look at mine here in a bit. I know when my oldest was born I brought him home in my 98 Z. All of my kids are in boosters now, so I will have to look.

Alright. I tested all of my belts and none of them do it. I don't know if it's an age thing or cause mine is a convertible
