Default Turbo manifold for 2nd gen. LS swap

I'm about to pull the trigger on a single turbo setup for my 79' Camaro. Right now I'm looking at either a Hooker Blackhawk,
or a Summit unit with the turbo flange pointed up. The Hooker has a low v-band for the turbo.
What my question is: which one would facilitate an easier installation?.
Secondly, would I have hood clearance for a T4 turbo?

Use some stock truck manifolds or similar flipped forward and either make your own or have someone do it. It is very unlikely that either of those will work out well for you without mods anyway.

This is a single turbo T4 setup in a '69 Chevelle. using stock truck manifolds and 2.25" piping on the crossover to meet the turbo. 60mm WG to control it into a 4" downpipe (overkill).

I,m fully aware of what of what other mods need to be done. I was part of the DSM community 20 years back.
My interest is in saving time as my life is full now. I like your watercooled intercooler. I have looked at hundreds
of pictures of installs. I'm looking at a happy medium between full kits with a little DIY. They range from about $1600 for
chinese cheapies, and $6000 for top of the line. Looking for about 500 RWHP. on pump premium.

I have used the Holley, made my own from stock manifolds, and used several log manifolds. For me, I felt the log was the easiest, I like the fab ones, you can cut/weld on them to place the turbo to a more desirable spot. I have seen pics of the Summit one, never had one to trial fit, so can't say how fit is. They all have the PITA down pipe to deal with, unless you fender exit, but I like full exhaust. I have some builds on here, using the diff setups, you have to figure out your own skill set, how much time can you spend on it, and $$$$$, lol. With your HP goals, a turbo with a 3" downpipe would help fitment.

I used a summit fabricated on mine. The appearance was very important to me.

I know it leaves some midrange on the table, but I don’t miss it.

Looks ,performs great to me.
