Asking for a friend's 06 GTO. He's much handier than I could ever be but his forte is with the old cars. His AC button is not working. He said he tried all the other avenues which led him to changing the dash unit. I believe
his exact problem is there's a jumble of wires in there. Would anybody be nice enough to give me some pointers for him to make it painless? Thanks in advance.
Make what painless? Is the button at fault or is the AC system at fault? It won't turn on if the coolant is low or overcharged. Did he specifically test the button function with a multimeter? If he needs the schematics of the electrical plugs he can download the whole original GM shop manual at markquitterracing.com
The button which is part of that AC control unit in the dash. Everything else is good. He is joining so I'm sure he will chime in. Maybe I misheard him but I don't think so.
