I'm ready to pull the trigger on ordering parts for my build, but I wanted to get some feedback to make sure I'm on the right track.
My goal is 500hp
LM7 5.3
Heads: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/a...make/chevrolet
Cam: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-8707r1?rrec=true
Head Gasket: https://briantooleyracing.com/btr-he...20OEM%20units!
I'm planning on boring out the 5.3 to a 5.7 but I'm not sure which pistons to use? Any recommendations? I would like to use stock rods.
Is my head and cam selection good? Are there better options for around the same price range?

For dependability on your rebuilt motor, don't forget about the sensors - knock, crank, cam, ECT, MAF, MAP, IAC and TPS. The knock and crank sensors on an LM7 are hard to get to and I replaced mine with the motor sitting on the shop floor rather than at some random difficult time and place later. YMMV but I'm not a particularly lucky person. Luck favors those who are prepared.
