Default 60-130 Dragy runs?

Just seeing who all uses a Dragy in here. I'm a big fan of 1/8 and 1/4 dig racing and that's really what my truck is more set up for, but doing some 60-130 runs on the street helps me dial in my tune pretty good. Here's my best so far, had some good cool morning air and awesome DA on my way to work.

I've only ever ran with my buddies Dragy a few times. My car has done 8.44 with a little spin. I don't know what a good time for a NA car at 3700lbs is.

It's good information to have, can help a lot with street tuning. My car isn't knock limited, so I might try some more timing and see if it picks up or not.

yeah it’s pretty fun lol. Truck weighs around 4500-4600lbs with me in it, 3.90 gears. I’ve gone 150 mph in it so far and that’s pretty close to the top of 3rd. It would probably go 160 ish.

that’s really not bad for NA that’s not a max effort set up. And that’s all I use it for is testing and tuning before I go to the track.

Truck runs good for a heavy weight

I typically only race 1/8 mile but ran it out a few times when first tuning it and went multiple 6.0's 60-130mph N/A.
It's a N20 combo now so confident will be deep in the 5's

Yeah I run 1/4 mile a lot myself, it's really what my truck is set up for when it comes to converter and gear. Goal for this year is to run a 9 in the 1/4. Prior to this engine last year, I had a SBE gen 3 5.3, still had weak gen 3 rods. Went 10.32 at 133 mph, full weight with a maxed out fuel system. New engine and much better fuel system, 9's shouldn't be a problem. I'm definitely no great tuner and I'm tuning this all myself so it's going pretty good so far.

That's awesome man 6.0 N/A, I agree definitely low 5's on the spray. Sounds like your set up is working great.

I thought about throwing my dragy on the Jeep just for ***** and giggles to see how pathetically slow it would be. Then I remembered it wont do 130 if i dropped it out of a plane.

Your truck is pretty similar to mine, lc9, 20 over piston, eagle rods, my turbo is smaller vs racing next gen 2.5 78/85 1.25ar. I plan on stepping it up to an 80 but i want to see how close i can get to 9's before i do it.

Hell yeah man that's cool. Should be pretty quick with a 7875 from what I've seen others run. I've gone a fastest of 10.32 at 133 in the 1/4 with this same 80mm turbo and a SBE gen 3 5.3. This 6.0 I have now SHOULD go 9's no problem, so we'll see.

I had a sbe lm7 before we built the engine thats in it now, its spun a bearing and then we built this one. I went 11.0 @ 132 with that engine, I was foot braking back then and also had horrible back pressure issues because I had 3" exhaust at the time, I was also maxing out my fuel system which ive also changed. It made 754 on the old setup with all those issues.

That's still pretty good while having those issues. Looking at my trap speed and 4500lbs truck weight, I was making right around 780-800whp. That was on 25psi but it had low timing in it to keep those weak gen 3 rods from bending. It lasted a good long while, much longer than I expected it to. After years of abuse it finally scattered 2 rods.

DAMN that sounds like it's rowdy!

Back when I made 800whp in not so efficient 5.3, in this same truck weighing 4500lbs, I went a best of 7.06 giving it everything I had withing my tuning capabilities. So you at 3400-ish, I bet you'd see deep 6's no problem, probably even 5's if you hit it hard enough on the rolling launch, as long as you can get traction.

This is what was left of my lm7 after that 11.0 pass, it dropped oil pressure immediately after the pass and this was the results.
