Default Vette Filter/Regulator Part Number?

The '99 Vette fuel filter/regulator, with three fuel ports(push-on male barbs I've heard), that everyone is using inline forward of the fuel tank...Anyone know the GM part number & where the cheapest source is? GMPartsDirect.com? What method has everyone been using to adapt the male barbs to the rigid fuel lines? Thanks, Gar

It's 10299146. It has 2 males and 1 female. I always use a male stub from the junkyard for the female fitting. You can use short pieces of fuel injection rubber hose to mate to the solid lines.

Question 10299146 Connections???

I purchased one of these combo filter/regulators but it didn't come with instructions. What are each of the connections? I was guessing 5/16" male = return, 3/8" male = input from fuel pump, and female quick connect = outlet to fuel rail. Just want to doublecheck. Thanks in advance for the help.

I thought it was female for inlet of filter then the the 2 port side has engine feed outlet and return outlet.

Could someone please confirm what setup it is.

Speartech, hope this doesnt sound stupid, but is there any wiring from PCM or a vacuum line that connects to the filter/reg for the regulator or is it just set to maintain 58psi all the time?

Also those male fuel line you use, is that what they call a bundy style end?

when i did mine, i had custom lines made locally... they look 100% factory, and cost me a total of $32.

i took off my stock fuel lines.. i had the male hardline fitting for the female outlet brazed on...

the feed line and return line were cut short, hose was crimped on, with the quick connect fittings on the hose..

you can buy the quick connect fittings at advance auto, NAPA or most other part stores... they didnt have them at any local AutoZone though....

nope. its 58psi in relation to atmospheric pressure. not manifold pressure.
the PCM has a table in it to figure out what the injector size at the current manifold pressure...

ive only seen them referd to as Quick Connect..... GM, Ford and Chrysler all use them.

Default Still unsure about the connections for this.

The end of this filter/reg with a single female connection (quick connect) is stamped "outlet". Do you connect this to the fuel rail or to the fuel pump?

That is the end that goes to the fuel rail.

Thanks. As for the other side, there is a 3/8" male and a 5/16" male fitting. Which is the input and which is the return? I have a good guess but just want to make sure.

3/8 is the input; 5/16 the return.

The return isn't hooked up yet in this pic, but you get the idea.

So there is no wiring or anything, PCM sorts things out thru injector scaling correct?

Just an earth strap on the filter?

Just an earth strap for static buildup. No wiring.

Does anyone know if this style fitting will fit in the female quick connect end?

If it's 3/8" it will work, but it is not the ideal fitting to use. With those kind of fittings once you pop it in, you'll never get it back out. The position of the hex doesn't allow room for the disconnect tool.

I have heard of people having problems getting the correct fuel pressure with this style of regulator. I dont know if they didnt have a large enough return, or it was hooked up wrong. Any one else heard of this? I am going to use a aftermarket adjustable one, but I was curious about this.
