Smile FS:40K mile 2001 LS1 Motor-500 Bucks

In Houston, pick up only:

Selling for a friend:

I have a a LS1 motor out of a 2001 Trans Am it had 40K on it. The motor was pulled at the dealership due to water getting into the engine when it flooded. What happened was the car died and then was attempted to be started and was hydralocked and instead of screwing the internals up the starter broke off the block(Ear Bracket) The piece is in hand and can be welded back on. Other than that the engine is in good shape. The motor is complete from oilpan/flywheel to coilpacks. The only think missing is oil pressure sending unit, LS6 intake, and injectors which was purchased already. The guy selling it is a mechanic at the local pontiac dealership and goes by the name of Leo, his number is 832 814 8988 and will answer any questions. If anyone needs an intake or inj's i have my stock 26lb'ers and stock ls1 intake.

He asking 500 bucks for it, may be negotiable(call Leo)

Thanks
Travis

So the motor doesn't have an intake/tb/injectors or rails anymore? If it did i'd buy it.

he might be able to take pics...i ve seen the motor in person and appears to be in good shape, the only thing that is wrong with it is the starter "ear" bracket was broken off due to hydralock. He will take the plugs out and hand crank the motor to get the water out (if there is any in it). You wil have to asl if he wants to ship it or not. Either way this motor is in good shape, and is a decent price.

Thanks
Travis
