Galveston Cruise and Track Night - Oct 8
Galveston Cruise and Track Night - Oct 8 OK, Lets try to do this one more time before the end of the year. We had 28 cars last time, and that was despite rain and nasty weather to start the day.
This time, I figured we'd change it up a little bit.
Meet at the AMC 30 at Beltway 8 and 45S at 11:00. We'll get everybody together and try to leave by 11:45.
I'd say this puts in Galveston somewhere around 12:30 depending on traffic.
Go back to Cherry Hill, do the picture thing and hangout for a while. This time it should be quite a bit cooler. Probably be there for an hour or so.
By 1:30 we can probably be back at the Spot having lunch, everybody can relax for a while and talk about cars.
This should be where it gets fun. After leaving the Spot, we hit 45 and head back towards Houston. Work our way back over towards 146 and head to HRP. I'm guessing we could be there around 4:00 when the gates open.
5:00, hit the staging lanes and set up some grudge matches, and back up all that talk that goes on during the day.
Now, the 8th is a Sunday so I know some people might not be able to make it, BUT, it is the Sunday before Columbus day. That may not mean anything to some of you, but for some of the college guys, it may mean no class.
For those of you that are lucky enough to work someplace like a bank, like myself, it means that Monday off.
I figure this will be the last run before the year ends. Hopefully, we'll have mild weather, and it maybe decently cool in the evenings.
So, post up if you're interested. I'm also going to post this on some other forums, so it should be more than just LS1 guys, so feel free to invite friends.

For any of you that are planning on running at the track, please make sure that you are wearing pants and have on real shoes. They wont let you race in flip flops. They were pretty leniant Sunday night with the shorts, but I'd hate to see somebody get turned away because they were in shorts.

Well Chad, ex-SS-ve and any other guys that helped put this one together this one should be a blast. I will be calling my homeboy in the silver supercharged mustang to come down and play . Also met another WS6 guy that should be making it . Should be fun and better weather
