Default FS: 1996 Pontiac Formula WS6 LE2 GMMG TTII 315's black on black 6speed 400+ rwhp

SOLD!!! 11/9/07.

Well, Im going to regret this, but here goes nothing...

One of 524 1996 Formulas. 84k on the odometer, 2000 on the h/c setup that was done in June of 06.

Car put down about 404 rwhp and something like 388 rwtq. Im sure on the hp #'s, but not so certain on the tq. Ill upload the dyno sheet.

Car ran a 12.64 while it had a missfire. Why did I take the car to the track with a misfire? Because I was anxious to see what it would do and it was the end of the driving season (October) and I didnt want to take the car to the track in May since I was still on the stock 10 bolt. Made 6 passes and then the rear end said it had enough... have new 4.10 gears in there along with a Torsen unit.

First, THE BAD...

-Car will need a headliner. It is coming off ever so slightly right behind the drivers head.
-needs an alignment
-there is now a paint chip on the hood the size of a quarter that my dad put in there by accident while working in the garage.
-the passenger side headlight motor works, but the 'stop' guide thingy broke off

I drove the car to Kentucky in 06 right after the h/c and had no issues whatsoever.

A missfire did develop but that was due to bad plugs, but that is it. Car runs really strong right now with no problems.

EWP failed at about the 2300 mile marker but was replaced with a new one.

Mods are as follows....

Exterior Modifications:
-American Racing TTII's
-BFGoodrich KD's all around, 315/17/35 in the rear
-Baer Erdispeed+ brake upgrade
-Blackbird hood stripes
-!sidemolding

Interior Modifications:
N/A

Performance:
As of June 2006, the top end is all new. Basic setup consists of LE2 heads and cam. Car put down 400 rwhp, so thats about 465 at the crank!

Parts list...

Brakes and Wheels
-Baer Erdispeed+ brake kit w/drilled and slotted rotors
-Stainless steel brake lines
-American Racing Torq Thrust II's, 17x11 in the front and 17x11

ASKING $12,500.00 OBO.

Please give me about 2 days notice before coming out to see the car so that I can clean it. I've only put 80 miles on it this year and all it does is sit in the garage collecting dust.

Ill TTT this thread every once in a while. I cant access LS1tech at work, so Ill be responding during the evening hours.

Sorry but I am not interested in trades at this time. I curretnly have a GMC Sierra as DD which I will most likely end up selling as well to possibly get a GTO as the only vehicle.

I really do NOT want to sell this car, but at this point in my life I need to focus on more monetarily responsible decisions... buying a house, getting married etc. I will regret selling this car, as I wanted to keep it forever, but there will be another car, another day.

Thanks!

First bump... TTT.

It's going to end up on ebay or autotrader.com soon. I'd rather sell it to someone who knows more about these cars and someone who'll take care of it as well.

About $7k was spent on it this time last year on the h/c and exhaust.

Thanks for the compliments guys... Ill definitely miss the car once its gone, but life happens.

I've spent a lot more than the asking price for the car, but as we all know this is not something we're out to do to make money on. We do it for the hobby and for the love. You're bound to loose money on modifiying the car. I did it with the intention of never selling it, but I need to do a few things with my life before I return to the car performance hobby.

Semi-odd question, but was this car running a dumped exhaust within the last month? I got flown by on Euclid going from Mount Prospect to Glenview about 2 weeks ago and it sure did look a lot like this car. If so, this was the very car that pulled me back into looking at domestics rather than settling with some foreign car.

Euclid going east toward Milwaukee, right over the bridge. I was the first car in the right lane, and this car pulled out of 4th or 5th in my lane, and jumped on it. God spoke to me right there, I'm sure of it.

I'm really bad at streets, but I saw the car turning right onto Euclid from the street right before the train tracks from hell. If you're a local, you know what I'm talking about.

The one I saw was dumped at the axle, so that is a quick(er) tell to see if it was you. It'd make complete sense if it was you, as it was a black, t-top old nosed bird with a loop and TTII's.

If it is, I want your car REALLY badly. It was my first experience with massaged domestic vehicles, so it for sure holds a special place for me!

Always have liked them more, but I'm looking at buying something that doesn't suck gas and have affordable insurance for a young guy. That leaves imports. Don't worry, honda's came and went quickly, although I feel like I should pick one up and do it right. Volkswagen is looking much more realistic, even though FWD SUCKS!

Keeping this up...
