my buddy has a 3rd gen with a ls1 that weighs 2900lbs(with him in it 220lbs) with full interior minus front drag race seats...so its possible to get fairly light with f-bodys....ps those twin 67's wont care to much about weight...lol

Nice times and a nice car! I would like to build an LS powered Fox coupe one day...
The cam only argument comes from back in the day - before all of the transplants and rebuilds came along - you would be disqualified from a cam only class if your head bolts had marks on them from a socket! You literally could not remove the heads for a class like that... that thinking carried over to the internet threads and such. Personally, unless you are running a class that requires you to meet the rules, who cares about the "titles"...

Congrats Billy.
With the number 6 pill and out of the box carb, I would think you have more in it. Put a wide band on there to get a AFR reading going down track.
Makes me want to get a glide lol.

thanks for the compliments...but i have some bad news,i sprayed it and #6 piston let go...but it was time to move on to bigger and hopefully better things....atleast it made one good pass before it let go...all the other pistons look like brand new except for that one...only thing i can figure is it might have been weak from the factory...well anyways R.I.P. 6.0 and i'm thankful for the good times i had with it....now i need to get my friend in gear and post the video....

What was the one good pass?
Did you pull any timing at all? Like using the pink wire on the 6010 which is the wire that pulls timing when activated.
Did you get it blowing up on video? HAHA.
What next? 408?

LOL, 5.76 is rollin out. And 1.30 is awesome. How big of a shot was it?
I would do a 408 LS2 with L92 heads. It could be done on a budget pretty cheap considering the output of the motor.
If you are looking for a short block, get a hold of AES engines on here. They have great deals.
