9 sec thirdgen here!
Hello,
I am new to the forums and just came on to say hi. I live in Ga and I have an 88 Trans Am WS6 that I got in the 9's last year. My first 9 sec pass was a 9.98@139, So far the best to date is a 9.72@142mph at silverdollar raceway. If anyone can post a video for me I have my first 9sec pass on one of my video's. I need to work on my suspension to get it down in the 1.30 60ft right now its going 1.42, and spinning. Well I look forward to meeting some of you so I ll talk at ya later...

Your car sounds stout, the best et is with the new combo or old?

Yeah it was in 2000. I was up there with my daily driver I did nto race all weekend I was there for fun.
The best et was with the old combo. I am hoping to some 9.20's or some 9.0's this year. I went with a custom nitrous cam from david vizard. my car still weigh in at 3375 right now so I will have my work cutout for me. I might run true street if I can get some et streets. I just spent a bunch of money on my new slicks, 8 to 10 point conversion and getting my afr227cc heads ported. So I will have to see if I can scare up some 28 12.50 et streets or some m/t drag radials.
Can anyone host or post a video for me ?????

What is your suspension set up? also who makes that cowl hood? What wheel and tire combo (size, backspacing, type) are you using? I'm building a 87 GTA with a 468 bbc, the motor made 712 hp n/a on the dyno, but its going to be a heavy car (iron head big block, full interior etc.) so I'm hoping to be running right around your times. Just trying to decide on the suspension setup now. Thanks

I am running a spohn torque arm, control arms, panhard, competition engineering subframes, competition engineering rear drag shocks, lakewood 90/10 struts, and a competition engineering 8 point cage. "converting to 10 point as we speak" I ran 2 deg neg pinion angle. Tires were 28x10.50.15 et drags. Rims were 15x3 draglights up front and prostars 15x10's in the rear with 5.5in backspacing.
The cowl is made by glasstek. Its kinda pricey but its a bad *** hood. It is built very well and they ae the only company that offers a 4in bolton with a finished underside. I think I paid 500.00 plus shipping...
There are a few things you could do to take some weight of th car that wont be noticed. That way you can sorta kep the stock look. Take the bumpers out, the underside of the carpet"looks like stock when you put it back in"
all the sound prrof insulataion in the rear and under the front of the dash.
I got my car down to 3379 with me and a full nitrous bottle in it. I weigh 240. Then you add up all the suspension mods, the mosser 9in rear, and the cage. I weighed my car when it was stock with me in it It weighed 3470. so i took out lots of weight just to put it back in with all the mods

I had my car in gm hightech from bristol 03. it was just a little 2x2in picture of me doing a burnout with somw writing below it. thats when I had a 355 in it I als had it gm hightech about 2 years ago when the built the white iroc with a stealthram intake. The took a picture of my old 355 that had a stealthram on it.. I was like the only one that had one at the time

Yup I met you as well Tory. I was taking some pics of your car and video as well. I remember talking to you about your convo pros. You raced the black 4th gen all three times in the true street. and you won all three agaisnt him. Tom won the event with his 9sec all motor thirdgen.
Good to hear from ya gain. I see you made some improvments since last time I heard.
