transmission and motor quick question guys , looking to find out what the best tranny will be for a blown 99 trans am , for mid 9s and street driving, also where to buy it , and what will be needed to install it iam a m6 now and will have to convert to a auto iam sure, also what motor you recommend i have a pretty serious procharger setup ( frount mount intercooler vortec bypass so on so on ) and need to know what you recommend for a motor displacement? where to get it? so on , , , and where to get a good rear end also 9 or 12 bolt moser? Thanks!
Get a 9"(i recommend the billingsley fab 9) do it right the first time.
tranny wise, I would get a TH400 or a built 200R4 if your really need the overdrive.
Not may people using the 200, so becarefull if you choose that route.
Motor wise, I guess a 9:1 big inch iron block, AFR heads.
