Default how much to go 9s

im thinking about possibly getting a built 347. it would probably have a decent sized cam. and stage 2 port and polished heads. bigger valves JE pistons, and manley rods. ive heard of people puttin 250 on the with no prob. then others say half the hp your motor makes na. anyone have any input. its arp bolts and head studs as well. double roller ls6 oil the works for a stock motor. any info is greatly appreciated trying to decide if i want a stock head cam motor or a stroker. goal would b 9s nitrous is threw a maf kit

well... it's not about the power it's also about the drivetrain, and the suspension... drivetrain and suspension is probably more important than the power. anyways... i think a 250 shot would definately get you there. but there are cam only cars doing low to mid 10's... and they are going deep 9's with just a 150 shot. so if you're doing a big heads/cam combo, i say you should definately be able to spray more at it and for sure get 9's. it would be enough power anyways....

well the car is fully built already. we build the car first. then put a motor in it. its all suspension, strange 12 bolt, fully built tranny with hardened parts, sphon tq arm, hal shocks. it went 10.9 on cam and nitrous. i know prob not tat impressive to many of u but it was a small cam with stock heads. and up here the air isnt great. so those r good numbers here. thanks for the info man. any1 else got any ideas
