New to web site. I'm actually here to learn about building a LS motor with a procharger. I've been planning to buy a Schmidt 760" BBC, but my engine guy is friends with John Meany and he wants me to build an injected blower motor.
While I'm here, I figured I would join your single digit club.
My 1st 9 second pass was with my '70 1/2 Rally Sport. It had a 477" BBC, running 10.29, we hit it with a small shot with a plate and it ran 9.88.
I actually ended up running 8.57 with a better 477" BBC and a 175 HP shot.
It ran 9.30's on nuts. I still have that car, but I had an explossion/fire while bracket racing on nuts. That woke me up, and I have since bought a '94 Lumina Pro Modified, (much safer car) it ran 6.54@213 with a 706" BBC and dual stage foggers. That motor is long gone. (BOOM) So I converted the car to run in Top Sportsman, and the motor I was building was stolen by the engine shop. That's why I now need another engine. I will try to post some pics.
The B stands for 6.00-7.99

Thank you,
Trust me it didn't start out running like that. The 1st pass that car made was 16.92. Many years, many dollars, many bloody knuckles later and you get an 8 second car.
If I stay around long enough, I'll post some pics next season when I get the new motor in the Pro-Mod.
Thanks again for the note, be careful, be safe, have fun up there.
