Sure. IF you have all the supporting mods, suspension, tranny, rear-end, weight mod.
If built correctly, you could spray it into the 9's with only 100 shot. 350 shot, 8's if again done correctly and like said you don't lift the heads. Either progress 350 - 150 out of the hole, rev up to 350 by 1/8 mile. Sure. Better have a damn good tuner and engine builder.
Your supporting equipment will really tell if you are serious about 8's or 9's.
