I have stock front disc with hawk pads and drums on the rear of my third gen. It has been converted to manual with an s10 master cyl. I stop from 8.80s @ 154 with no problems. Car weighs 3360 pounds.

The above not being the norm,

You want a set of light drag brakes like Aerospace or Strange for a direct bolton, LAMB also makes very very nice brakes but be ready to pay big bucks for them.

Aerospace being the entry level, then strange, then Lamb

I run stock LS1 calipers in the front and LT1's in the rear. I also run a Strange manual master cylinder. That combination has worked out fine for me.

I know David, MM, said he was running stock LS1 brakes and had no problems stoping at Richmond which is a very short track.

i run stock lt1 brakes but, would like to swap to the light weight (aerospace, strange, or wilwood) just for the weight savings. a friend of mine did the swap (on a third gen) and picked up a tenth in the eighth. should be close to 2 tenths in the 1/4.
